ALADDIN CLIENT SERVICES OVERVIEW
The Aladdin Client Services team is in the Aladdin Business division of BlackRock Solutions. Aladdin Client Services has more than 100 professionals based in 6 investment centres globally. Our team provides support, training and consultancy services to internal and external end users of the Aladdin platform. We work closely with Relationship Management, Aladdin Implementations and Business Development to provide subject matter expertise on specific projects.
The team has comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of each Aladdin tool. We liaise with product specialists and application developers to understand all of Aladdin’s functionality. Aladdin Client Services professionals work closely with each relationship management team to become familiar with our clients’ businesses and how they use Aladdin. New joiners have direct client exposure within weeks of starting in the team. In the last 12 months, EMEA Aladdin Client Services has spent 500+ days working with clients on site
TEAM STRUCTURE AND ROLE DESCRIPTION
Aladdin Client Services has grown to 18 professionals in the EMEA region and is based in London and Edinburgh. The team supports Aladdin clients across EMEA, therefore travel to other BlackRock or Aladdin client offices is required within the role.After joining BlackRock, there will be an induction in New York followed by an intensive training program which includes sitting the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). This is an excellent entry point into BlackRock and will ensure that the candidate gets a thorough understanding of the core Aladdin tools and the full breadth of the investment management business.
REQUIREMENTS
- Any one of a variety of analytical, financial or technical degrees
- A passion for learning about all areas of Investment management (CFA study is encouraged)
- Committed to providing the highest level of client service
- Consistently high level of attention to detail, assuming ownership and following up on work to its resolution
- Highly articulate and confident dealing with colleagues and clients regardless of seniority
- Analytical and problem solving skills, with a natural flair for technology
- Relentlessly positive, flexible and proactive with a “can do” attitude
- Language skills are advantageous
- Strong communication skills
