PCH Search & Win is nothing more than a search engine, like Google and Yahoo, where you can search and win prizes.
Pretty awesome right? I mean you are going to search the internet anyhow, so why not search and get a chance to win prizes at the same time?
How this all works
I know it seems weird that some company would pay you just to search the web, but its actually not weird at all. There are actually several other companies that will also pretty much pay you to search online, one that I can think of off the top of my head is Swagbucks.
These companies want you to use their search engines so that they can track what you search online for marketing research purposes. Big companies pay big money for this kind of market research data.
So that’s how it works. PCH is able to award prizes and pay out money to people just for using their search engine because they make a lot of money selling the research they collect from peoples search activities.
How To Search & Win Prizes
There is nothing special about how you use the search engine. All you do is use it like you normally would as if you were using Google, Yahoo, Bing or any other one.
You could search for jobs, dog food, fire wood, books, how to tie a knot, literally anything. There are no limits, restrictions, or any kind of best practices with PCH Search. Just use it how you want.

The only tip that I know of is to use this search engine more. The more you use it the better chance you have of winning a prize. And the reason for this has to do with how PCH picks the prize winners which I will go over next.
The #1 tip for searching is to keep it genuine. Keep your searching real. Don’t just search for a term over and over just to try to increase your chances of winning. They will catch on to this.
How Winners Are Picked
Everything that has to do with winning here is completely random.
For the PCH SuperPrize, you will be entered in the contest after the first search you perform each day. This is the prize that everyone wants. Its the holy grail of PCH prizes and could turn you into a millionaire.
For the prizes of lesser value, the method for picking winners is different. Instead PCH picks “winning times” each day, which are just random times that they choose. And whoever is the first to search at that specific time or after that time gets a prize.
So with the PCH SuperPrize you only can get a single entry for the chance to win each day. But for the other prizes you can increase your chances of winning by searching more often. Because the more you search, the greater the chance of searching at that special winning time.
How Do You Know If You Won?
You will realize immediately if you won. If you happen to be the search winner then your search will go to a page where you have to fill out some information to claim your prize instead of the search results page.

Complaints
There really aren’t too many complaints about PCH Search & Win, most complaints I have found are just about PCH in general. And a couple of these include..
Advertisements
YES there are advertisements. PCH does get paid to advertise. This is just one of those annoying things you will have to deal with if you use PCH apps.
Spam
When you create an account you will have to provide your email and YES you will get spam emails from PCH trying to sell other products to you.
This is pretty annoying, but this is how they make some of their money.
Ripping People Off
There are a good number of complaints about PCH making things much more difficult than they should be for people to win. Such as making you go in circles just to enter a sweepstakes, making you pay shipping for products when they don’t tell you that you will have to, and other scammy little tricks.
Final Thoughts & Do I Recommend PCH Search & Win
PCH definitely does have some very legitimate complaints against them. They do seem a little too much focused on making money in every way possible and this leads to them spamming people and just kind of ripping people off in little ways that are unnecessary.
That said, I still think that PCH Search and Win is a cool way to win free prizes, although the probability of that happening are very rare.
I mean, think about it… you are just searching like you are going to do regardless and you have the chance to win prizes.
Its important to keep in mind that you aren’t going to make it rich doing this though. In fact, there is a darn good chance that you won’t win anything.
